Our small, boutique vineyard is family owned and located in the quaint and majestic Aptos/Corralitos area of Santa Cruz county. Our vineyard is a rare find, being over 40 years old, planted in the 1970’s. It is owned by Kim and Ari Novick and managed by world class viticulturist Prudy Foxx. We are just 4 short miles from the Monterey Bay and the beach, yet set back perfectly for producing an incredible old Wente Chardonnay. Our vineyard sits in a perfect south facing direction and is situated at the ideal elevation, 570-590 feet.

Kimari Chardonnay grapes are hand picked and produced into beautiful wines by Big Basin Vineyards and Lioco Wine Company Both companies are well known for their quality production and sourcing grapes from the most special places.

Our Story
Kimari Vineyard is family owned, organic, and a truly magical place. Kim and Ari Novick, along with their three children and dog Lucy, instantly fell in love with the property the moment they stepped foot on the sun drenched sandy soil they now call home. The vineyard is surrounded by over 20 mature olive trees, 5 large old growth redwoods, apple and pear trees, and countless citrus and avocado trees. Kimari Vineyard is a pristine old Wente Chardonnay vineyard planted in the 1970’s.
What the Novick’s love best about the vineyard and the property is how relaxed they feel on the land. Their goal is to grow the most exceptional, natural, high quality grapes the region can offer and provide an experience for our guests that they will never forget.
